its official now :D
risto and macewen in tonight vs the bruins
martin jones getting the start

This might be our worst lineup yet and these are "additions" lol. Will see, but I am absolutely not confident in starting Martin Jones vs Boston top line and top PP (especially with our crap PK)

pretty much my thoughts hes probably going to get lit up
but maybe thats the plan if they think were going to get shelled tonight its better to have it happen to jones then hart

im also curious where risto plays braun was looking really good vs the kraken and has been alright on that 2nd pair but he hasnt played that good since he was on the sharks so not sure how long it will last
either way its nice to have 2 physical guys coming in vs the bruins the kraken were kinda gooning it up and we didnt really have many guys that could do anything back
idk who macewen is though really sounds like a decent 4th line guy cant be much worse then willman but i dont have much faith in waiver pick ups from vancouver

big win! team looked good
jones actually played pretty good too much better then i was expecting after the pre season he had
macewen is a pretty solid addition to that 4th line made some nice defensive plays and he was out there throwing hits and looked pretty good for a first game with the team

i think they said first time in franchise history 2 players have scored in the first 3 games -konecny+farabee
they also said this is the most goals the teams scored in the first 3 games since 1988

https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/mckenna-why-keith-yandle-is-the-ultimate-teammate/
Keith Yandle is the only teammate that ever said “thank you” to me for setting a puck behind the net. At the time it made me giggle. It was fun and light-hearted. But also genuine. Here we are playing a game in the NHL and this guy is thanking me for the littlest thing.

And now the entire world knows about Yandle’s manners.

During a preseason game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Boston Bruins on October 4, Yandle picked up a puck behind the net from Flyers teammate goaltender Carter Hart. A microphone directly above them caught the exchange.

wel i thought the phantoms wold have a pretty good team this year but seems thats not the case
they are last in their division with 1 win out of 8gp

frost(22 YO) leading the way with 6p in 8 games for the AHL
Bobby Brink(20 YO) (RW) NCAA 6gp 3g 6a 9p
Bryce Brodzinski(21 YO) (RW) NCAA 8gp 6g 3a 9p
Elliot Desnoyers(19 YO) (LW) QMJHL 9gp 8g 10a 18p
Felix Sandström (24 YO) AHL 5gp 2.23 .924-looked good in pre season and seems to be doing good in ahl might be pushing for backup role soon
Samuel Ersson(22 YO) AHL 3gp 2.74 .892-not quite the best stats but hes still young and has time to develop and adjust to NA hockey hes been good in sweden
we also got 2 goalie prospects in russia doing pretty good
ivan fedotov(24 YO) 13gp 1.84 .934- seems like hes splitting time on the 7th ranked khl team other goalie has 15gp
alexei kolosov(19 YO) 15gp 2.64 .913 -a goalie we drafted in the 3rd round this last draft and he seems to be the starter on his team ranked 10th in khl

those are the guys standing out so far this season

its hard to say his play has been pretty bad and they have been juggling him in and out of the line up for brown
but it is likely hayes was able to return on weds and hes been skating with the team and i believe travelled with them for this road trip so hes gotta be close

what do you think of risto? hes starting to look pretty good i think hes finding his groove in the system
so far im happy we got him specially with ellis out braun has been the one to really step up but having sanheim-risto has been nice stabilty for us as the 2nd pair not as inconsistent as last season

once we get hayes and ellis back we should be a really tough team to beat

what do you think of the off season moves? in general i feel like they were good moves i wanted to keep myers but bringing in ellis and risto isnt looking too bad
atkinson is great i love this guy the fight this guy plays with man you cant beat that its a total 180 to voraceks play which was needed
macewen has been a solid waiver pickup too this guys outplaying majority of our depth guys ive been impressed by him i wasnt expecting that from a waiver pick up at all

jones surprised the hell out of me too so far after the preseason i thought he was going to lose his backup to sandstrom but hes come out in the season looking like a new goalie like he was just fucking with us in the preseason
