BC dudes.
Buddy of mine knows someone who works for the provincial gov't in Victoria, says there's a lot of "full Ontario style lock down" talk around.

Nos obviously nothing has been said to the public and it's definitely just the rumour mill, but any of y'all think it's gonna happen?

You island and B.C. guys have been so lucky. Calgary’s been locked down hard on and off over a year now.

Yes it has, when restrictions are implemented our daily cases go way down. You going to deny even that?

Yeah lucky that we haven't had to lockdown much but very unlucky that western bc is getting bent over and fucked right now. Thankfully it's not too bad in my specific area, but hoping it doesn't get worse

If they do, no one is going to follow it.

Like imagine closing golf courses where there has been minuscule if any cases.

I’ll still go to my friends house.

I’m not going to sit at home and just work and not live life.

Especially when all the high risk populations have been vaccinated already

It has been working in here Quebec. only around 3.8% of the province’s 8.5 million people have tested positive (326,000 quebeckers). Assuming 2-3x that amount could have had it and never been tested, still a pretty good job rather than opening everything

The idea is to SLOW the spread and not to stop the spread. Completely stopping the spread would require every single person to stay home for 2 weeks, which is straight impossible

Yes. But If everyone could stay home for 2weeks wouldn't that be best? I certainly think so. It's essentially what Australia and New Zealand did.

The harsh reality is that no matter what restrictions and sacrifices we make or are in place the government keeps allowing international flights and travel. Undermining the entire process.

What really didn’t need to be open was places like tip top tailors, Sephora , the apple store, etc.

Pisses me off when they close indoor dining but keep this shit open?

I have zero faith in the government, zero respect, the can go fuck themselves.

I’ll do what I feel is safe and appropriate based off the information out there.
