Nucks owner Aqualini personally hired Boudreau. Then they’re hiring a gm. Oof that doesn’t sound healthy.

Don't mind it.

Boudreau was given the shortest contract possible, essentially 1.75 seasons.

At the end of this year, once presumably the new GM is hired, he can make the decision on Boudreau. With only 1 year left on his contract at that point, it won't be a big deal for ownership financially if the GM wants to go in another direction.

I prefer them doing their due diligence instead of rushing into hiring a new GM.

We know that Green is not an NHL coach whereas Boudreau has one of the best records in NHL history. This roster is underperforming, it at the very least gives a jolt to both the team and market.

strange that they won't let the GM hire his own coach..

Especially when all he does is say yes to aquaman. Lol.

Aqua should've trolled and just brought back Gillis and let him be president of hockey OP, see if Gilman is available as GM and then hire AV.

New report suggesting Boudreau's next year is actually a team option lol... even better.

Looking forward to see what BB can do, though, everything I've heard from him so far sounds good.

BB did wonders when Anaheim was garbage. Took them out of the gutter to the conference finals

Done the same everywhere he's been.

Been fired 3 times yet never had a losing record.

9th all time in win% amongst 100+ game coaches.

What a difference a real NHL coach makes. We actually looked like an NHL team tonight.

Travis Green is just a bad coach and I'm not sure how he keeps getting hired

Yeah I dunno how he was as a junior coach but as our AHL coach, he had like one good year and that was when Markstrom broke out and became a wall.

Not sure exactly what he did to become NHL head coach but he was hired by Benning and Linden which pretty much explains it (incompetence).

Friedman keeps saying Green will have another job in the NHL as soon as he wants it... mind boggling. But that's the NHL for you lol.

i saw a tweet the other d ay that was saying no league is like the nhl in the way failing coaches and gms are rewarded by getting into other franchises for the same job
i kinda sat there and thought about it for a min and its like damn...hes not wrong teams would almost rather take a failing gm or coach from another team then bring in somebody new

Anton Khudobin has been waved. He did well in Boston as a back-up previously.
