He’s got no value and no way to increase his value playing in North America, he can only increase in value playing in Europe. It’s the only place he can develop. This was the only logical sequence of events to anyone playing attention. He doesn’t want to play in Europe , he’s given himself no other options.

Could be , he’s far too young to make that judgement yet. The oilers have screwed up the ability to develop him by playing him when he’s clearly not NHL ready. They have caused him to loose any confidence in his game he ever had and used up the option to send him to AHL.

Once again he has no value not because there is no potential, it’s because letting him develop or find that potential in the AHL isn’t possible.

Yeaa. Remco is right. JPs only hope is we get fair value for a trade now. Or he goes and plays in liiga for this season and gives us a good year next season to up his value.
But it’s probably 60% Jesse’s fault. Oilers rushed him, no doubt. But he didn’t improve at all over the three years...in fact, seemed to get worse. Players that have NHL capability, rushed or not, usually show some flashes of what they can be...Jesse did very little of that in my eyes. Now, his agent is really doing him no favours.

Any discussion on JP draft position I’ve ever seen is that 29 other GM’s would have done the exact same.

Yeah Poolparty was seen as the consensus #3 at the time of the draft. It was a big suprise when the Jackets took Dubois instead of him, but it's looking like it was the right choice after all.

Should have been glaringly obvious he was over rated when a Finnish GM wouldn’t take a Finnish prospect when he’s ranked consensus #3.

Yeah Oilers fucked him up good, he is also coming off surgery to both hips so he was obviously playing injured.

I doubt he increases his value much over there, even if he plays decent. Unless he rips it up which looks doubtful
