I don’t understand? It’s no different then last year? Look at Chicago last year. 12th best odds out of 15 and they took 3rd oa. If they get eliminated why should they not have a small chance like any other year when they would of def been in the lotto albeit with small odds like this will anyways.

Because they were pretty much eliminated from the playoffs after 72 games but now they have a fair shot at the Stanley Cup and if they lose they still have a shot at 1st overall.

Also if somewhow a team like the Habs pull and upset and beat the Pens, and then the Pens win the lottery, how stupid that would be ? Iirc Pens were the 7th best team in the league after 72 games and they could end up with Lafrenière ? Also the fact that they do the lottery before the playoffs is dumb as well if you're going to include the play-in loosers.

Anyway, I don't want to complain too much I know you can't please everyone and especially not with what'a happening right now.. At least we'll get to watch some hockey I guess.
