Id go 1st option, makar is a wild card, we dont know how his first season will go, i wouldnt waste a keeper spot on him, when you could keep landeskog who is a lock to have a great season. You can always target makar in the draft too. Thats just me though!

Kadri isnt a #2 C and if he doesn't put up 30G and 60 pts, this is an awful trade and idea for sakic.

There aren't many 2Cs that put up those numbers. 50 points while being good defensively is perfect for a 2C, I would expect at least that from Kadri.

I don't see him even getting 50 is the problem. He replaces soderberg 45pts And we lose Barrie and kerfoot in the process. Avs didnt get better in this trade. Kerfoot ends up getting a replaced with either burakosky and donskoi who both had worse seasons lol.

he only declined last year after being "demoted" to 3rd line cuz of matthews/tavares lol
and that's just ~10pts less than usual with about 10 games less.

i can see him easily get 50pts if not 60.

Thats where the problem is. And that's not bringing up the close to 100 pim he will probably get and the auto yearly suspension.
He's not awful and is an upgrade to soderberg I guess but considering everything. It's pretty bad.
