Four losses in a row and three of the teams were lottery caliber squads like the Knicks, Hornets and Magic. Well actually the Magic are the 8th seed in the East and likely playoff bound so losing to them isn't too shocking. I'm just glad I was half asleep during last night's loss against Orlando. The Rockets are now the 6th seed and if the playoffs started today they'd play the Nuggets in the first round. ff we keep losing the Mavericks will soon catch us and we'll end up the 7th seed and play the Clippers in the first round.
It's remarkable the OKC Thunder passed us for the 5th seed at 40-24. We're 39-24. When we made that Chris Paul for Russell Westbrook swap the two teams were supposed to be heading in opposite directions. Not only have the Thunder been good with an aging Chris Paul this year (his hamstring has held up) they still have a boat load of draft picks that they can cash in for even more talent. Whether they use those picks or package them in a trade.
The Rockets host the Timberwolves on Tuesday Night. Will they avoid five losses in a row?
And then the huge showdown against the Lakers at Staples Center on Thursday Night (TNT).Ya OKC is killin it
I think they recover tuesday then have a solid game vs Lakers for sure.
