I see what the Rockets are doing.

They are aiming for the 4th or 5th seed so they get to face Lakers in 2nd round.
Very smart

People might not see what the Rockets are doing...but I see right through their plan.
Lakers second round.

Four losses in a row and three of the teams were lottery caliber squads like the Knicks, Hornets and Magic. Well actually the Magic are the 8th seed in the East and likely playoff bound so losing to them isn't too shocking. I'm just glad I was half asleep during last night's loss against Orlando. The Rockets are now the 6th seed and if the playoffs started today they'd play the Nuggets in the first round. ff we keep losing the Mavericks will soon catch us and we'll end up the 7th seed and play the Clippers in the first round.

It's remarkable the OKC Thunder passed us for the 5th seed at 40-24. We're 39-24. When we made that Chris Paul for Russell Westbrook swap the two teams were supposed to be heading in opposite directions. Not only have the Thunder been good with an aging Chris Paul this year (his hamstring has held up) they still have a boat load of draft picks that they can cash in for even more talent. Whether they use those picks or package them in a trade.

The Rockets host the Timberwolves on Tuesday Night. Will they avoid five losses in a row?
And then the huge showdown against the Lakers at Staples Center on Thursday Night (TNT).

It's incredibly scary and giving me some anxiety to think the Rockets may play the Clippers in the first round in that 2 vs. 7 matchup. Surely we won't keep losing and allow the Mavericks to pass us? I still think we're going to get hot again in the next few weeks and make a push for a 4th or 5th seed. It wouldn't be easy having to play the Jazz or Thunder in the first round but I'd rather play them instead of the Clippers.

I want to see the Rockets end their four-game losing streak in style tonight. I'll be disappointed if they don't defeat the Timberwolves by at least 25 points, 135-110. Even though the spread is only Rockets -12.5. They've got to turn things around and play good basketball again. Especially with the huge nationally televised showdown with the Lakers at Staples Center coming up on Thursday Night.

If the rest of the NBA season is cancelled I'd like to unanimously declare the Houston Rockets the 2020 NBA Finals champions! I'm willing to officially vacate the 2017 Houston Astros World Series Title if I'm given the Rockets' first NBA Title in 25 long years. I've been waiting since 1995 to watch another Houston Rockets championship and I'm going to just claim the Larry O'Brien trophy for the 2019-2020 NBA season. Thank you very much and I'm so proud to see James Harden and Russell Westbrook finally win that elusive and shiny ring! I feel so overwhelmed with many beautiful emotions right now.
