I watched the Orlando Magic, with two young studs named Shaq and Penny, eliminate Jordan's Bulls (4-2 in 6 games) during the 1995 Eastern Conference playoffs (second round). He was back for two months and people still claim he was out that year as well. Orlando had a dominant team loaded with talent. The Rockets, as a 6th seed, knocked out the West's 3rd seed (Jazz), 2nd seed (Suns), 1st seed (Spurs) and the East's 1st seed (Magic) with a pure 4-0 sweep in the 1995 NBA Finals.

Look, I'm willing to concede that 1994 NBA Finals to the Bulls if Jordan didn't retire. The Rockets defeated the Knicks in 7 games.
Had Jordan not retired no doubt the Bulls probably beat the Rockets in the 1994 NBA Finals. Likely 4-2 in 6 games for Chicago, IMO.

But I still think the 1995 Rockets with Olajuwon and Drexler would've beaten Jordan's Bulls. They swept the Orlando Magic, who did beat Jordan's Bulls.

If the NBA regular season is in fact over, James Harden and Russell Westbrook are officially the highest scoring duo in NBA history post-merger.

1. Harden × Russ (2019-20): 61.8 PPG

2. Kobe × Shaq (2002-03): 57.5 PPG

It's bittersweet for sure. I wanted to see what the small ball lineup could do in the 2020 NBA Playoffs.
Also Mike D'Antoni's contract is basically over if the NBA doesn't return. I don't think he's coming back.

Jeff Van Gundy, who former Rockets owner Les Alexander once fired in May of 2007, is a top candidate.
Kenny Smith is also at the top of the list. If he coaches the Rockets, Vince Carter would replace him on TNT.

I guess I wouldn’t mind JFG, however he hasn’t coach an NBA team since 2007. I know he coaches the Olympic squads when Popovich is busy with the NBA, so he might be getting his coaching itch scratch by that

If Kobe and Shaq played in this era they would be averaging 70+ points.

If Shaq could improve his free throw shooting I'd agree. Even he said he was 50-50 when debating if he could've beaten Jordan's Bulls.
