I think herd immunity has been needed for a long time.

Quarantine the vulnerable/elderly/sick people. Let everybody else live their lives and if they come down with symptoms, quarantine them too.

yea or just no quarantine to begin would have been smart. Kill the weak and only strong survive. Shit would have nearly killed off the weak by now
