Anyone know why the Mets do the applause sign language celebration? I noticed it at Conforto's double in the 7th. He signed applause when he got on base and the team signed back.

I'm really surprised they didn't. Honestly, I wish they would have. Bases loaded, still an out to work with, and Alonso on deck? I would have put money on winning it anyway.
