Tai and Stro in the same day, nothing else will ever feel exciting again...

Unless we get a Jake/Noah doubleheader.

Jacob Fuckin' DeGrom!

This has got to be one of the greatest pitching performances ever.
Lowest career ERA as a Met (passes Seaver)

Career High in strikeouts

Most strikeouts through first 4 games of a season (50)

5 game hitting streak (Longest in 21 years for Mets pitchers)

Jacob deGrom is, without a doubt, the Undisputed GOAT. The fact that he almost matched Seaver's most consecutive Ks in a single game is bonkers.

Yeah man, he's our generation's Tom Seaver.

Our SP rotation is actually pretty filthy.
People are low on DP, but I like him, I know he had a tough 2nd game, but he bounced back really well.

Stroman/Walker have been electric and Lindor/Alonso and McNeil have been playing excellent defense, and Walker owes Almora like 20,000 dinners lol.

Not to mention Carrasco/Thor will be coming back soon, and Luchessi looks decent as a spot starter/6th man.

Also Matt Harvey just shut down the Yankees, and I'm all here for that.

The starters are insane. Once you get deGoat/Stro/Cookie/Thor/Peterson or Walker all rolling, it's going to be nearly unstoppable. Then take Peterson or Walker and bullpen em for LR. Lucchesi would make a good reliever, too. And, surprisingly, I'm mostly comfortable with the closers.

I do like how Peterson bounced back really well, too. Shows real grit and maturity on the mound.

Almora needs to stay starting in CF, and kick Nimmo to left.

Once the bats wake up, this team is a force.

Peterson looking strong so far. That Bogaerts AB was longer than I would have liked, but he's keeping that pitch count in a pretty decent spot.

Solid fielding even needed, too.

At this point, I don't see why Pillar should be in the lineup over Almora. He's no defensive stuff, and he's only batting .091 coming into tonight. It was a fun experiment, but it's depressing at this point.

Tonight feels like a great night for the bats to come alive.

It's not fair. It really isn't.
