I just hope we can actually win our first playoff series in like 18 years. Either way this is a real fun team. Hope Anderson//Pache//Waters can make it even more fun in the future.

I don't like melancon as the closer. He was 12/12 in save opportunities but his ERA is almost 4.00 since joining the Braves. I wish they would of stuck with Greene after his early struggles after being traded as the closer because Melancon is not the guy I'd want closing a game out in the playoffs. I don't see anyone else given the opportunity at this point but they have better bullpen arms than Melancon.

I'm ok with Melancon/Greene at closer, despite his rough outing he's been pretty consistent prior.

Everything went downhill after the Martin injury, but Luke makes my blood pressure go up nearly every time he pitches lol.
I also didn't agree pulling Keuchel so early after only 4 2/3 innings. He didn't have his best stuff but even still he kept us in the game.

I just don't like Melancon. He's a setup man at best at his point in his career. My main problem with Melancon is that the Braves picked up all $14m of his salary next year. I know the Braves currently don't have a clear person who deserves it. I am just more in favor of Greene because I feel his superior right now but lost the closer role after blowing 2 saves right after the trade. Luke Jackson is always hit or miss. He seems to either look really good or he gets himself into a jam but many times has gotten out of jams because of strikeout stuff. I felt like that with Jackson at the beginning of the year and then I became more at ease with him pitching, but I don't want him pitching in a big situation in the playoffs. Minter is the one who drove me nuts everytime he got put in a close game. Ya the Martin injury was definitely a big blow in that situation and really messed up what Snitker had planned at that point.

What did you think of Acuna's long single? I was quite disappointed because he did that like 6 weeks ago and had a talk with Snitker and that point was definitely made then so that it didn't happen in the postseason.

Acuna has to learn at some point. It's ok to admire long balls, but save that for no-doubters. Everything else should be hustle out the box. I'm not sure what it will take to make him understand that, even Albies/Freeman have explained it to him.
