While reality shows do have writers on staff, I still think there is a valid discrepancy between full scripts with professional actors vs reality shows that have a variable amount of writing (probably 60%-80% depending on the show). For example, I'm not sure if anyone at MTV told a guy to punch Snooki in the face. Whereas I'm sure that Joffrey only hit Sansa when the script said to.

My point still stands. The average person is not picky about what they watch. Which is why he totally ignored that part.

Staged isn't the same as written/acted. Also highly depend on the show you are referencing.

The article cites the content from S7 and talks about why it is not as good as S1. My posts are about the context around S7 and why the season still qualifies as 'amazing'. That's what I mean by moving the conversation forward.

Well I'm not going to read the article because I don't care about it. But I can understand why people might not appreciate season 7. A lot of the dialogue stuff that is really good has also be extremely subtle this season. A lot of people just don't catch it, and I mean it isn't their fault for not remembering things from season 1-4 and seeing the parallels in the newer seasons, but for those of us that do remember (or at least talk to people who remember) there is a lot of cool stuff this season, both in action and dialogues.

Ratings = popularity to this guy I guess. Nevermind loads of superhero movies or anything done by Michael Bay that's incredible popular but received terrible ratings .....
