Which part was he talking down to the audience ?

Seriously? With the mom explaining about the different comic stories and then Jackson over explaining shit again as he dies, "this was an origin story". No shit sherlock, thanks. Then it was a million times worse with that last scene in the comic book shop. "This guy is smarter than everyone, he always has a plan." Wow, thanks for telling us, we never would have figured that out otherwise. Also, this super secret organization doesn't even consider that things playing out this way (when he orchestrates the escape) have a specific purpose? Oh, he must have just fucked up, that seems like something this guy would do :bonk: .

The whole movie was like that. For whatever reason, he thought he needed to over simplify and explain everything to the audience right before it happened. Just let shit happen, it was all super obvious anyway. That coupled with the full-retard ending, the most awkward cameo in movie history and some of the worst acting imaginable, I can't understand how anyone was able to look past all that and enjoy this pile of shit.

I still need to watch this. I thought Split was pretty well done.

I tried watching this 4 times and ended up just skipping through it. I enjoyed all of the other movies but not this one.

Split was great. McAvoy is outrageously talented and it was amazing that he was given a real opportunity to showcase his range. Split could have been another laughably bad movie M. Night flick without him.

I feel you... I loved Split and Unbreakable was good, but not great. I had high expectations for Glass, but those plummeted after the final trailer and I'm glad I lowered them as low as I did before seeing the movie, because it was all that kept me from falling asleep or walking out.
