I get that no ones going to agree with me, that's fine, but this shouldn't be something even people in the deepest denial can disagree with. The prequels were dog shit, the latest three were dog shit and the originals had one of the most laughably bad endings to any trilogy in film history. SW is notorious for bad acting, shit character development and boring or bad plot. It is what it is. People can whine and complain all they want about the new trilogy, but the vast majority of people, even though I wasn't one of them, loved TFA, while most people despised the prequels until a decade fucking later when the internet told morons the prequels were good because memes bro. All the prequels had was a handful of cool moments thanks to special effects, which is slightly less than the latest trilogy. It's by a slim margin for me, but it's like comparing green dog shit to brown dog shit and so many people getting their panties twisted to defend the joke that the prequels were is kind of sad.

None of them were good and a new trilogy wont make a bit of difference. Marvel approached SW exactly like it approaches every superhero film (which everyone can't stop eating up) and anyone who thought we'd get anything different hasn't been paying attention.

I'm pretty sure this is just factually inaccurate. The new star wars trilogy is all over the place from a story/atmosphere perspective because they didn't approach it in the same way. There is no movie head making everything work. Arguably that's one of the reasons people dislike the movies. The drastic shift in each one because of the lack of a unified vision for them.

I wouldn’t consider them grown ups. They are the loudest but not the only people that like Star Wars. I’m disappointed at how disney handled the series but I don’t think it’s necessary to harass the actors for doing their job. The crazies have a long history of bullying actors. I have no respect for those crazy fans. They need to be put in a mental asylum.

It's the exact same lol. Their entire approach for Marvel is to dumb it down as much as humanly possible and make it all about cheesey one liners and CGI (remind you of anything?). Most Marvel films are unwatchable, a couple are alright and then maybe 2-3 deserve a good review. I just don't know why anyone expected anything else and I'm legitimately surprised that their normal product is this heavily despised by the same people who lap the same shit up.

I know for a fact that i have seen you state that all marvel movies follow the same formula so how can you possibly say they are the exact same to a trilogy where each movie is structured completely differently

I don't hate Marvel btw, I love comics. I hate Disney for making boatloads of money while releasing painfully mediocre to straight awful content. If people recognized the Marvel films for what they are, Disney might take a new approach with other franchises. There's no need for them to do anything different when it works so well time and time again.

I have never once said I loved tfa, I’ve considered it an incredibly mediocre movie since it came out, but it is still significantly better than either of the other movies of the trilogy. If they would have just stuck to the same easy formula that they did in that movie and created 2 more ‘safe’ movies I would agree that it is similar to a marvel trilogy. Instead they tried way too hard to change it up and it backfired, resulting in 2 horrendous movies rather than two subpar to average ones

But they have a head guy, so at least they have consistency and shit.
