Got an 8am tee time sunday morning

Little reefer and a few beers to start off sunday funday

Will post my numbers, Ive only played actual golf a couple times but I really enjoy playing.

Was slow at work today. Hit roughly a bucket of balls left handed with a 7 iron. Getting my swing down to where it isn't uncomfortable as all hell lol.

By the end my swing speed was in the mid 60s going about 110 and no more than 10 yards offline. Was pretty happy with that. No where near where I want (right hand swing speed with a 7 is about 87ish for 175) but for the first full day of lefty, I'm happy.

Why lefty?

Honestly, I have no real reason for it other than I wanted to learn. I've wanted to for awhile and then this opportunity arose...



And I was like fuck it, free set of irons that I don't need, let's go lefty.

I can swing a baseball bat left much much better than I can switch in golf.

I am content with that.

Oh I wasnt sure if it was for a reason like when you get into a bad situation and can only get at the ball left handed

Yeah, no real reason other than a pure want. I'm going to play a round on Saturday full lefty, no driver yet so going to be a bit worse than it should be since I won't have anything to hit off the tee with (considering just hitting righty off the tee and then lefty the rest of the way).

Played a full round this morning left handed, no driver.

Shot a 107, I was so fucking stoked I was under 110. I was thinking 120 minimum lol. I only started this like a week ago so pretty happy with those results. Had 2 sand shots, one took me 3 tries to get out, the other took me 4, that was a killer and amounted to 5 extra strokes and then I hit I believe 5 or 6 balls out of bounds. That plus the fact that my longest club was a 3 iron for every tee shot, I was even more thrilled when all was said and done.

Even when/if I go back to right handed, I am putting lefty for ever now. The feel was just so much better for me. I've never putt like that before in my life. I 3 putted one time, 2 putted 5 times and 1 putt the rest, I just have a better feel for it lefty.

About to play a rather easy course this morning, but it feels great outside (70 degrees) should be a good day.
