so its emerged that not only was Eric Ciaramella former NSC director for Ukraine turned CIA officer, but he traveled with Joe Biden on his trip to Ukraine as VP, and was directly involved in the correspondence Joe Biden had with the Ukrainians to hold up the foreign aid until Shokin got fired. And not only that, but Eric Ciaramella had been entangled with right-wing blogger (Cernovich) back in 2017 who accused him of being a leaker to advance a pro-Ukraine / anti-Russia agenda, which was the reason he stepped down from his NSC post citing 'harassment' and 'death threats' from Trump supporters.

if that guy isn't the whistleblower, then its incredible that there could exist another person with giant red arrows pointed at him like that
and if he is the whistleblower, it lends credence to the accusations he was the leaker in 2017;

so you've got a guy who had a close professional link to Biden, was intimately involved with Ukraine and held a hardcore pro-euromaidan agenda and was in a CIA white house position where he could listen in on Trump's phone calls. And as if he didn't already have a political bias to begin with, he's got every reason to be politically compromised and hate Trump enough to break the rules due to his perceived victimization. And you've got a whistleblower's who has already been 'confirmed' to have a close professional link to Biden, be conspicuously familiar with Ukrainian politics and hold a pro-euromaidan viewpoint and be a CIA officer and have conspicuous familiarity with Trump's phone calls in a way consistent with him previously having access to them until the white house started locking down with anti-leak measures, which the whistleblower cried foul about. And the whistleblower is confirmed to have broken the rules and acted with a political motive, and supports Biden. And the guy is also somehow known to news outlets who seem to have had no trouble figuring out who he was and confirm details about him, but won't publish them.

How could this not be the guy?

Why was Trump talking to Lavrov? That is dangerous in itself. Lavrov is a beast. Trump should be kept away from him.

One of the rare occasions I have to wholeheartedly agree with you.

Lol... alright, I'm gonna say it:

"rigged witch hunt"

Neither his voters nor a sizable number of Republican Senators is gonna break with him over an impeachment process which began with such a hyperpartisan premise.

Yeah no. Trump was the biggest deterrent to college educated voters in modern history. Also, I doubt many African Americans would have changed sides. They always go strongly Dem. Bernie also had plenty of pictures of him getting arrested marching during the civil rights movement to trot out.

Almost everyone I know falls into the "college educated voter" category, and the vast majority of them 1) Hate Trump, and 2) Hate Bernie.

Hard to say what they'd do if they had to choose, but they're mostly appalled by Bernie's avowed support for South American left wing dictatorships.

I would be careful about allowing your personal biases effect what college educated (especially older) voters prefer. They're paid well, they don't want some wacko commie coming in to fuck it all up.

2020 Bernie seems better than 2016 Bernie. 2016 bernie was warren, unable to talk tax hikes for his plans. 2020 bernie still can't pay for 50% of what he's promising, but at least acknowledges there will be a tax hike on all to make it 50% happen.

that said i dont think most people can get around the medicare for all requirement to kick people off insurance. that's a hurdle Bernie cant clear, especially if someone asks "so you acknowledge that this would fail if we didnt force everyone on it".

Interesting. I feel like 2020 Bernie is nearly identical to 2016 which is why he's struggling so much. He's made almost no effort to form a Democratic coalition whereas Warren has. There's a reason she's mopping the floor with him.

the only "shift" he's made imo is owning the tax burden. i'll remember HRC cucking him on the main stage for a long time. she called out his tax implications and he played the Warren card of dancing around the question while literally everyone rolled their eyes. i dont think he could have owned the tax burden at face value, and he still cant, but 50% progress is nice.

then again idk why people are voting for a plan they know wont work. no one is going to vote to kick 50% of their constituents off their objectively better than medicare plans to appease the other 50%, when they know in that 50% are some people with a nearly identical plan that won't see much change and only a few will be new to coverage. let alone the math being about 75% of the current federal budget. we're talking about a potential 2x tax hike for many people. 2x. that's unelectable imo.

So Mulvaney acknowledges that part of the reason they were withholding aid to Ukraine was over an investigation into the Crowdstrike/DNC server conspiracy theory.

Not surprising to anyone who has followed this story, but I'm glad he's on the record that the president was withholding aid to an ally fighting Russia on their eastern territory because he believes a truly batshit insane conspiracy theory.
