5 days since the last bump to this thread. Before that, a 4 day gap. For most of the last year, it had been getting posted in multiple times per day. Curious that people stopped caring about this topic so quickly.

To what do people attribute the spike in cases that happened at the beginning of the fall? At the time, I thought it was the cold weather. But now that cases are dropping in the coldest part of the year, that explanation has been ruled out.

To what do people attribute the drop in cases that is happening right now? I expect vaccinations to have an impact, but there hasn't been enough of them this fast to cause the precipitous dropoff in cases we've seen in the last couple weeks.

won't even give raw data on first cases they should be banned from on travel to other countries and stop trading till they are willing to give up all info on this bs...

Covid isnt an inherently political issue, so it doesnt surprise me that this thread doesnt keep up daily activity.


I'm also puzzled by the drop in cases in seen since early January in a wide variety of countries, but not all of them. In recent days, I read somewhere in an interview with an expert in virology that all known coronaviruses have a strong seasonality, and typically peak in January.

Testing is the biggest factor

Before thanksgiving one person testing three times counted as three cases
