Anal swabs require inserting a cotton swab three to five centimetres (1.2 to two inches) into the anus and gently rotating it.

If a country wants to reduce the influx of travellers, they no longer need to officially shut down the airports - they only need to make the anal swabs mandatory at customs. ^_^

Currently on a "quarantine" from one of my jobs for the second time due to exposure to a co-worker who tested positive. I lost quite a decent amount of hours as a result and they're only paying my 5 hours "sick leave" as a result. Lame. I don't expect them to pay me for nothing but I wish they'd have let me work given that I'm not showing any symptoms.

I wonder how many others lost hours like this nation-wide.

Pretty sure this is what most Americans and the world are concerned with. A scenario very close to this, I know I do

it's odd that every company/state does this different

I live in Tampa, and when my office had a few cases, we closed for a day while they cleaned

no one else got it

government is fucked up for not covering it under unemployment programs

people that were furloughed here got 75% pay coverage while pretending to be sick

Indeed. I'm of the opinion that if government is mandating X in the interest of public health, they should pay for it. Unfortunately, some states have much stronger unemployment systems than others. I heard Florida's is a fucking convoluted nightmare.
