mRNA? The central dogma of molecar biology is DNA encodes the gene, is transcribed into mRNA which is translated into protein. mRNA only exists transiently and without the appropriate DNA you won't be able to produce more after it inevitably degrades.

This is absolutely fact how cells work. DNA is required to generate mRNA which is required to make protein. The DNA that generates the mRNA for the vaccines is in a giant vat in Andover or whatever Pfizer's facility is.

If it was a DNA shot, the temp storage conditions wouldn't be such an issue as DNA is significantly more stable that mRNA which is extremely degradation prone

Gene therapy does not mean permanent altering of DNA. and if it does then this isn't gene therapy, because this doesn't permanently alter genes.

Why does it matter what we call it? We know it gives immunity without having to be exposed to the virus, we know it doesn't permanently alter your genes.
