The media hype is no joke. About 2 months ago, I woke to a bizarre call from my mom. She was baffled that I answered the phone calmly because she said that she was watching a video of Seoul being evacuated.
I was like, uh no. I live <50 miles from North Korea. Pretty sure I would know about evacuations before she could see U.S. reports on it.
That being said, I don't think Seoul is in any danger from anything nuclear due to our proximity to NK. They would be fucking themselves up with collateral damage. And any ballistic or mid range missiles would be shot down by the multiple THAADS that S.K. has along the border.
So I would say Seoul is probably safer than the U.S. when it comes to nuclear fallout.
