This is hugely hyped. Continuous spinning and media attention will only fan the flames. There's great miscommunication between the two countries due to conflicting headlines. No one knows what to believe.

What did happen this weekend though, was a much less aggressive annual military parade from NK than what was expected. No ICBMs were tested, as far as my knowledge. But South Korea is kind of freaking out currently, and China seems to be playing the adult in the room.

Also, breaking senior Korean analyst released an interesting hypothesis that he has evidence of a NK and US meeting in New York that seemed to propose NK completely scrapping their nuclear program, NK re-opening their foreign relations commission, and the US establishing military bases outside Pyongyang.

Wow it's hard to believe NK would abandon while being so close.
Nope cant take it seriously, not to mention China that probably secretely enjoy his wardog.

The last part is seems gossip. North Korea wont stop its pursue for long range nuclear missiles, to be able to protect itself from foreign powers. Having a US military base is not an option in this negotiation.

Imo having a US carrier in their sea, increases the need for NK to build long range nukes. The display of muscles in this scenario, only opens opportunities for escalations.

NK doesn't need nukes to protect itself. No one even wants anything NK has to offer.

Everyone gets stuck on the word... Carrier. The reason that strike force is there is for the anti-ballistic missile ships. It's nothing more that a defensive precaution. Not to protect the US. But to protect countries like SK, Japan...etc.

Russia did the same thing... moved anti-ballistic missile weapons nearer to NK.

China has no need to... they already have them near NK.

Where are you getting that Trump only moved anti-air defense carriers to NK? He called it a 'very powerful' armada. I can't seem to find where the numbers and types of ship are described however.

I Googled: Carl Vinson strike force, and then read about 10-12 results, till I found the make-up.
