i agree, but will say when u tell people to wear masks you hear "well that wont solve it", hand washing "that wont solve it", social distancing "that wont solve it".

when the truth is social distancing + hand washing + masks + vitamin D + increased contact tracing and precautious quarantining could save many many lives and prevent a bunch of cases. its just sad many people want a miracle pill so they can resume their lives as normal.

It's not sad, it's perfectly normal. Sustained social distancing goes completely against human nature. I'd be more worried if people didnt want to return to their normal lives. These reflexes are normal, what's sad is when some folks dont even make an effort to keep them in check.

Rough 4-6 weeks ahead of us

People sitting on floors in my ER yesterday and it was packed today per the tracking board. ICU is packed but I honestly didn't check to see if the beds were full. Employee Covid positives have been spiking and you are seeing unfamiliar staff in places where someone has been for decades.

I try not to think about it too much in my day to day. Keep calm and carry on. Hooah.

I'm negative now, had the back of my skull swabbed last week.

Des Moines isn’t bad , it is all these rural Iowa hospitals that can’t take care of covid that turf their patients here constantly. If spike in Des Moines does happen (when it does) our beds already so filled with patients from outside rural communities

Literally disaster in progress, no plan for how we will deal with patient capacity when dsm cases start risking like rest of rural Iowa
