It's actually pretty frustrating tbh. We helped destroy both countries less than a century ago and rebuilt them from the ground up. I think if you can afford to live in a large city, you're immune to all the awful things about this country.
No offense, but Americans did not rebuild Germany and Japan from the ground up. The U.S. deserve credit for letting us off the hook so cheaply and giving us a chance to rebuild and redeem ourselves, but the bulk of the rebuilding was achieved by our own efforts. The Marshall Plan's role is generally overrated. Both GER and JAP were among the wealthiest, most dynamically growing countries in the world before the war. After the war, both countries simply reclaimed their rightful place in the global pecking order, based on their high capital stock, their vast amounts of technological knowledge and intellectual property, and the strength of their institutions and societies.
From 1871 to 1933, Germany was one of the leading nations in the world in terms of science, industry and so on. If the nazi retards hadnt expelled all of the brilliant jewish scientists and started unnecessary, unwinnable wars, we'd have a population of 120m today and the rest of Europe (sans Russia) would have become our bitches anyway, without waging wars against them.
