The largest part of tertiary education is the analytical skills you learn. That is the biggest value, if you're not highly specialized (PhD level).

100%. finding verifiable sources, problem solving, etc are all a great aspect of college. comparing workers from 2 year schools or even high school diploma guys to the 4 year guys i work with is pretty stark of a comparison.

you can just torrent all your text books

it's a bit ironic that you're acting smarter than the average college student, but are using totals and costs that the average stupid college student unnecessarily pays. i didn't buy a text book after freshman year nor in law school.

Is that legal? ^_^

that's for sure at play. none the less its an argument for colleges imo, smart people need a place to get slightly smarter for a small return on their investment.

To the best of my knowledge fucking my mothers ass isn’t illegal, but piracy (pun intended) is, however.

And is there no irony in breaking the law in order to be able to cost effectively study for law school where you are presumably learning skills that you’ll carry to a career field for which the purpose is upholding the law?

It doesn't necessarily make people smarter as much as it makes application and breadth of knowledge so much more effective and useful.
