sure, a simple request concerning the investigations of a specific case would be maybe just fishy (considering it's against a political opponent), but not SUCH a big deal. however, not only did trump actively suspend military aid to ukraine just a week before the call and made more than clear hints that zelenskiy's help to dig up dirt on biden would be the favour he wanted in return for those means, he also did something similar earlier, holding back promised javelin missiles to STOP ukrainian investigations into manafort. so much for the laughably flimsy 'b-b-but trump is merely supporting law and order in ukraine, he has no personal political interest when he interferes with their investigations' narrative...

I dunno. I think Trump has a very personal reason for asking for information from Ukraine. Instead of waiting till it far too late, he appears to be gathering evidence of the DEMs corruption, as fast as he can.
Probably because if the information is fresh, it will be that much harder for the Dems to media it away.


/e I mean everyone already KNOWS Clinton was colluding with Russia, and Biden with Ukraine. Best defense from the Dems point of view is to muddy the waters by repeatedly accusing Trump of the things they themselves have been doing.
