No deal would be terrible for the UK, but this cartoon suggests the EU will be unaffected, which is factually incorrect. In fact, the loss to the EU in GDP would be greater than for the UK, which makes sense given we're a huge net importer. The loss is obviously spread out within the EU, resulting in a lower potential impact per member state, but it's still heavily weighted towards Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands and the Nordic countries:

Also, what do you expect Boris to do exactly, just cave into the EU's demands? You make it seem like the UK are the bad guys and the EU is a benevolent organisation making totally reasonable requests. Even you must admit some of the demands are unacceptable, like being the only sovereign nation in the world to not have fishing rights in over 80% of its own waters when it has absolutely nothing to do with adhering to the Efour freedoms. It's just a power grab being pushed by France.
On trade subsidies and the 'level playing field', we very rarely subsidise businesses to make them more competitive like the EU does, and it's fair to take the negotiating position that a sovereign nation shouldn't be tied into updating its regulatory framework to match the EU's, which we'd have no say in.
The UK hasn't done anything wrong in the negotiations over the last few weeks, the only thing we're guilty of is wasting valuable time since the referendum when we didn't have a clear path under May.
