Population.......

Thats the only states that matter to the democrats to beat the Republicans. California, new york, florida, and Texas would choose the president every time if there was no EC.

Why should the 4 states I mentioned (excluding FL ofc since it's heavily populated) matter more than CA, NY, and TX?

They matter only in a electoral count that gives either party the win, but the other states count is still important. If any of the other smaller states were to swing in a different voting pattern as some are. Then them 4 states no longer matter as a deciding factor on who will be president. Which changes up the way politicans go to and from each state to push their agenda. It's really up to who runs the best campaign and reaches the people as a whole and not as a political party.

🇩🇪 🇩🇪 why you comment? Between them 4 states there's over 100 million people. So lets throw the whole central part of the USA, out, because their voice means nothing. Electoral collage is based of popolation vote per delegate. So yes everyone has a voice and it not unfair in population per delegate vs state. When it takes 14 states to equal californias delegates.

okay so some update
the revelation today that the whistleblower went first to Adam Schiff before the IG means he directly violated the whistleblower statute

https://fas.org/sgp/crs/intel/R45431.pdf
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_Community_Whistleblower_Protection_Act
https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/PLAW-105publ272/html/PLAW-105publ272.htm

Quote
``(ii) The employee may contact the intelligence committees directly
as described in clause (i) only if the employee--
``(I) before making such a contact, furnishes to the
Director, through the Inspector General, a statement of the
employee's complaint or information and notice of the employee's
intent to contact the intelligence committees directly; and
``(II) obtains and follows from the Director, through the
Inspector General, direction on how to contact the intelligence
committees in accordance with appropriate security practices.

seems pretty clear cut, he did precisely what the statute says he's not allowed to do

This also means that Adam Schiff just spent last week grilling the IG about his handling of the complaint and how he forwarded it, while he was perfectly aware that the whistleblower had violated the statute by going directly to him

Hmm seems he did NOT

The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the officer find a lawyer to advise him and meet with an inspector general, with whom he could file a whistle-blower complaint. The aide shared some of what the officer conveyed to Mr. Schiff. The aide did not share the whistle-blower’s identity with Mr. Schiff, an official said.

it's really revealing how focused trump and his cultists are on discrediting the whistle blower and the whole process, when in fact the content of his report was basically confirmed by the official white house version of the call (made to hide the possibly even more damning original recording, which trump could release at any time, if he actually felt misrepresented concerning his "perfect call").
