Since 2022, there were high prices and high demand on the global markets. Doesn't necessarily take a nefarious scheme by the US for their oil and gas sector to ramp up production under these circumstances. Other countries, for example Norway, are also pumping away like crazy. Also note that the US gains on the global oil (and gas) market would be significantly smaller if OPEC hadn't stuck with its cap. A cap which they might not be able to sustain much longer:

Further note that the Biden admin has generally pursued anti-fossil policies; under a different administration, the US oil and gas sector would most definitely be booming even harder. This, again, contradicts the notion that some nefarious shadow players in the US provoked this war in a 16-years-long, "ten dimensional chess" attempt at stealing market shares in Europe from Russia.
