Everyone is rushing it, pharma companies and governments. It has nothing to do with Trump. Note how the first vaccine was approved in the UK before anyone else, and also note that approval will happen in the U.S. and the EU at basically the same time, with not much more than 1 week between them.

ok.. so wait.. the GOP tries to give credit for operation warp speed of getting the US vaccine faster than ever before.

it did lead to a faster approval than we would have seen without operation warp speed, but pretty much every other country launched something similar. hence, boasting about it like the trump campaign did was unjustified. they deserve some credit for it, but not nearly as much as they demand.
