Impeaching trump is a complete waste of time and the only thing it accomplishes is Dems can maybe use it for political points in the upcoming election.
If the house impeaches him, it will not pass the senate and you arguably just have a situation with more conflict but Dems will just go with it so hard that Trump was impeached by the house. The GOP isn't gonna run any other candidate. The only way Trump doesn't run in 2020 is if he actually were to get impeached by the senate which won't happen or he gets assassinated or dies of a heart attack from all the cheeseburgers and diet cokes he's been drinking.
I'm only 29 years old but has it ever been more grid locked partisan wise than it is now?
We have Ruth Bader-Ginsburg doing devil magic to stay alive in the hopes Dems win in 2020 so she can step down and not grant the supreme court a 6-3 conservative majority and then you got all the social media and I know family members and friends who really don't even talk to each other anymore because of the last election and just how polarizing things have become.
I've experienced a similar problem with a couple friends and my sister's husband.
I blame most of this on the MSM. I know I harp about the media a lot, but it's true, journalism is dead and they're mostly political activists now who live to sow division. Right now the left and Democrats dominate the media narrative. They're the ones who help stoke the flames of people's fears and hatred with lies and misinformation. It saddens me how many people fall victim to it. Look no further than bumpkin boy Suaci above. People are operating more and more on emotion and losing the ability to critically think independently. Thanks to social media, it's easier and more comfortable to join in on the "ORANGE MAN IS LITERALLY HITLER" circle-jerk. People find safety in numbers, and if a chant gradually becomes overwhelming, more and more people are inclined to believe and sing it. Aka mob mentality.
However, don't give in to the doom 'n gloom. From those who I've talked to who lived through the 60s, apparently things were worse back then. Remember, they had race riots, water cannons blowing people across the street, police beating and shooting protesters, and all sorts of racial hatred back then. We haven't quite reached that level of divide yet, but sometimes I feel like some want us to return to that sort of division.
