i've always been a centrist but i've also historically been a right of center centrist. from 2015 to now i've moved more center.

Some people still hold true to them values. I believe most or the escalation in the loss of values is to be blamed on the lack of trust in the justice system and political partisanship in the media and justice system that shouldn't exist. When people see others getting a slap on the hand for the same offense or worse it destroys the value of the law and that's where we see people willing to throw way values in the argument of equality throughout the justice system.

it no longer becomes about what is right or wrong in the eye of the law, but about the lack of fairness in the system.

i agree. and i don't listen when right wingers complain about unfair treatment from the CJ system when they've been lazily saying it doesnt exist for groups they dont care about. it's not just a situation where they've been for something until they have reason to lose faith, it's being blissfully ignorant about an entire subject until it affects them. these people couldn't be bothered to recognize there are and always have been injustices in the system until it was happening to the orange overlord. some users who have been law and order posters for years with nothing but a "if you dont like the law vote in someone to change it, that's how democracy works" are not crying "this isn't fair and cant be allowed to happen, even though it's entirely legal and how investigations work". its rank hypocrisy.

It's funny how this stuff seems to happen every time. Doesn't really matter though, as the damage is done to the low info people that read the flashy headlines from a Vox or HuffPo article.
