There's a reason the job title is "manager" and not "leader".
The actual job is invoicing, data entry and shift allocation.
All they have to do it take the printouts from our ESO system, input the data into our spreadsheets and hit finalise.
Then if some one does not turn up for a shift they input that shift into our system called kronos and it sends a text to everyone with a code, if they want that shift they text the code back and are assigned the shift.
When a delivery is needed beyond the automated system we have in place they put that data into our system (also ESO) and the order is made, they then generate an invoice automatically.
Yeah i know nothing about management

A well trained monkey could do middle management, and i have no idea how their pay is justified.
Your average cleaner needs more training and experience.
These managers make an average of ~$65,000 a year.
I DID the store manager job for two years before being promoted because i was over qualified, at no stage did i ever feel like i was better than anyone else at the store or more important.
The most important people at a bp site are night shift workers, if i don't show up my work is backlogged a day and it is caught up, if a night shift guy doesnt show up someone has to pull a 16 hour shift or we have to frantically call a bunch of people at 1 am.
