sure if a cop is arresting a world class striker they may have a rough time, but they'd still have a rough time using anything short of a taser. even then, don't miss.
versus an average street tough BJJ makes them just look silly. u can subdue them from top, side, bottom. doesnt matter. at least well enough to let backup do their thing.
Okay, so your opinion is that gang members, people doped out on anything from opiates that'll effectively prevent pain to PCP or meth, amateur boxers, serial killers, etc. can all be dealt with via a couple of guys with submission-based martial arts training?
I mean, let's say you get this serial killer into an arm bar. So what? They aren't giving up, they'll force you to break their arm just so they can get at you with the other. Ever try to cuff someone in an arm bar?
Like, I just don't quite get how you think that BJJ is going to be an awesome tool. While it may or may not have been handy in this case, in a general sense, police exist to enforce the law, not go hand to hand against anyone who takes issue at the law.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Walker: Texas Ranger too. TV isn't reality though.
Unrelated note: It was reported last week that Chuck Norris caught Covid19. The virus will remain in quarantine for 3 more weeks.
