Perfec: So you understand how dangerous sharks are... And that there is no way to "negociate" peace with them.

Shark week is July 11th FYI.

5 people die a year from sharks, out of 60 million deaths

You are vastly overestimating the significance of sharks

Sharks are very misunderstood in the world. Its possible to live in peace and harmony with them if you understand them properly. Even Great White Sharks fall into this category. A metaphor. Not everyone is Ocean Ramsey though.

Ukraine has been losing a fair amount of western armor in the last few days but it's important to note they've been accumulating for many months. There is still a lot left, with most still being preserved to actually use when they start engaging the main defensive lines. The million dollar question is obviously though are they going to be able to break through these lines before exhausting these gifts. I personally think if they continue to burn through armor western partners may get pissed about the careless utilization of these expensive gifts.

Natural question that arises is how long will the pace of hardware and money keep flowing? I'm still of the mind that most western partners have a limit and at some point they'll say we're tapped out and it's time to push for peace.

Peace is looking like a pipe dream right now. I mean they cant realistically turn around and say, hey, is that deal from last year still on the table? The western peace terms are basically: all of ukraine (including crimea) liberated, and Nato entry. With such a precondition your more likely to see fairies and unicorns. Its a complete humanitarian disaster and its going to get a lot worse before it gets better. No end in sight.

Naa. This is the start 'high' ask, similarly to when negotiating price. You never start or ask where you think you you will actually end up.

Realistic ask or expectation is Crimea is Russian, that's pretty much set in stone. The original (pre-full scale war) Donbas remaining Russian or autonomous and this war is being fought over what happens with ZAP, Kherson and the regions of the Donbass that were taken over when Russia announced SMO, at least that's what I think.

I think collective wants to see how the counter-offensive goes. If it goes well and they cut off the land bridge, they want Ukraine to negotiate from a position of strength. I still think the longer this war goes on the more toxic it will be for western politicians, I don't think Biden wants to go into 2024 with war still raging on and us still committing hundreds of billions.

I'm pretty sure Biden does want to prolong the war, else they would have made a deal last year.
Biden has stated that he wants regime change in Russia, and essentially I see no other narrative right now.
It would be pretty much double standards if Ukraine wins back all of its land and then asks for peace. Better to find some middle ground. The means in the unlikely event that Ukraine regains alot of its land, Russia then counter attacks and they land somewhere in between the two points ?

TLDR the war continues well into next year and beyond.
