This should be such a wake-up call to the left. It turns out that it doesn't matter if you promise to sprinkle a few additional crumbs down from the table if the price is rob people of their culture, rights, and religion.

What makes it worse is that the crumbs are sprinkled along a path to Venezuela.

None of those things are being robbed, whites just aren't america's special people anymore. The American experience isn't just white male anymore with everyone else needing to get with the program. People choose their culture, rights, and religion. Rural whites don't have such poverty of philosophy or spirit because of the state lol. They aren't godless because of the state.

The Democratic party loses white and Hispanic votes when it talks about reparations. It loses white and Asian votes when it talks about throwing whites and Asians out of school to make way for less qualified applicants. When riots destroy businesses and the police retreat from communities, the Democratic parts loses votes. When you demonize whites, and white men, as an other, you can hardly be surprised when they begin to develop an in-group awareness. These trends are not going to stop. You need to take a step back, and understand what you are doing wrong.

There is nothing about the racial divisiveness and woke politics of the American left that reminds anyone of Denmark. Nor should Denmark be our goal, as we have better models within our own country. The HDI of the North-East outstrips Denmark, with 10x the population. The poorer American states are poor for the same reasons that much of Eastern and Southern Europe are poor. Mississippi cannot become Massachusetts by adopting Massachusetts politics, there is no economic base to support it. We do not say that the European economic model has failed because Romania is poor, and the American model has not failed because Mississippi and Alabama are poor. The fact that those states are wealthier than their European counterparts is an American miracle in and of itself.

You are chasing some greener pasture without ever bothering to understand either how good you have it or what makes those other models successful in their own way.

It is certainly ironic that the countries they seek to emulate are mono-cultural, mono-lingual, and mono-ethnic (86% Danish, 92%+ white).

Which is a better comparison? An affluent post industrial liberal democracy? Or an agrarian failed communist society?

When analyzing our cultural and ethnic diversity, we are probably better served looking to Latin American countries (e.g. Brazil) that have to deal with similar cultural and ethnic diversity.

When we analyze US states with similar demographic advantages (vis-à-vis Europe), we see that they largely outperform in HDI rankings. The demographics of New Hampshire are very similar to Denmark, and they achieve similar or better results. Massachusetts is significantly more diverse than Denmark, and performs much better. Neither of these states are socialist utopias. But they are wealthy, educated populations that have prospered within a historically more free and more robust American economy. We need to stop day-dreaming about European fantasies. We have a model that works, we need to understand what has gone wrong (economic freedom in the United States has declined significantly in recent decades) and take action to correct it.
