Even looking at the statistics in the US means nothing because half of the US coronavirus cases are in New York City.
I've been to NYC. For the 1976 bicentennial there was 11 million people in the lower 14 blocks of Manhattan. Lower Manhattan is only about 5 blocks wide.
The sidewalks in NYC (on the main streets) are approx. 8-9 ft. wide, and during normal times they are shoulder to shoulder people. If you were a germ, NYC would be the place to be if you wanted to infect the most people.
