Real talk surviving impeachment will get Trump reelected and make the Democrats look like losers, again, even if they're right.

Well, the IG report comes out this Monday, and Durham's case has gone criminal and should soon start calling witnesses.
Be interesting to see how these two things turn out.

Nah, I don't think this will have much of an impact on the election. The amount of people who will be swayed by this is pretty small.

Nah, I still think that it hurts him politically. albeit just marginally. Democrats and Republicans are both very firm in their support/rejection of Trump, and highly motivated to vote. What the election will come down to if both parties can turn out their base is independents. Since the Republican base is slightly smaller than the Democratic base, Trump needs to win independetns by a healthy margin. Keep in mind: in 2012, Romney won independents by 5% and still lost he election by 4%, and the turnout difference between Dems and GOP wasnt thaaaat huge.

And with independents, the misconduct presented during the impeachment process will turn off a lot of them. Some independents will make up their mind (in either direction) about Trump thanks to the impeachment, others will be disillusioned and stay home or vote for third party candidates. All of this is cutting into the pool of potential voters from which Trump has to gain the votes which bridge the gap between his base of ~42% of the vote and the 46-48% that he will need to win the EC.

A very lot depends on who the Dem candidate will turn out to be.
Bernie just promised $150 billion? high speed internet for everyone. Warren just dropped into the single digit support. Bloomberg is a closet Republican, I think... running on the Democratic ticket. And Biden just tore the head off a person asking a question.

isn't that the brand of tough talking tell it like it is politician you're in support of?

Sure, when dealing with other professionals. Not when dealing with just someone asking a question. The guy wasn't even a reporter.

/e Not sending a very good sign to other voters.

Biden trading quips with a crowd member is about as "Trumpian" as any democrat has gotten this entire cycle. He said the guy was too old, he said he didnt care about his vote, and nearly called the guy fat, all while dodging questions about his kid's business dealings.

just about as Trump as it gets. if Trump ever had the balls to do a town hall he'd react to crowd questions exactly like this, and we both know it. especially if someone had the nuts to try and drop a question on him about Ivanka/Kush/Jr.

this directly counters the logic of what got people excited about Trump. and its logic i agree with. democrats are falsely cordial, they want someone to show they can handle a real time back and forth insult war with Trump come 2020 main stage.

Naw bro. The guy asked a question and Biden didn't attack the question, he attacked the guy himself. I watched the vid, I saw no logic there at all. Biden just came unglued.

The point I was trying to make was... the Dems better get their base solidly behind one of the candidates, and i don't see that happening now, or in the future. They seems really divided about who they want for a candidate.

Still a lot of undecideds and a lot of uncertainty, but the clock is ticking in Biden's favor. At this rate, no one will be able to stop him.
