Do you honestly believe that there is any merit to a Biden investigation?

In what sense?
Its clear enough Joe Biden was unethically putting his son on the board for a no-show job to milk that sweet ukrainian nooch. I don't think anyone can pretend that the $3 million payout for being on the board of a company he never even visited, in a sector he's unfamiliar with, in a language he doesn't speak, in a country he has nothing to do with, can be explained away legitimately. But what kind of accountability can there be for that? Its not a crime under US jurisdiction, its a Ukrainian affair. And they took over the government and bent the Ukrainian legal system to their whims, so who is left to call it illegal? Accountability within the corrupt Ukrainian sphere is asking the puppet to investigate the puppeteer. In the US sphere, its the sovereign domain of the executive to conduct foreign policy. Its right because they say so, because they were lawfully elected to say so.

Political accountability in the US when the truth of those dirty dealings overseas gets dredged up is about the most anyone can be held responsible, the only legitimate recourse.

Why did the White House edit "Burisma" out of the 'transcript' that was made public?

so the katie hill scandal went 4 days in public with undeniable proof before MSM touched it (and CNN had the temerity to claim Politico was the first to report it)
Eric Ciaramella being the whistleblower has been pretty widely teased at for like, a month, but today marks when its getting its first major (rightwing, non MSM) publication in the media sphere
how many days/weeks/months/years do you guys think could elapse before MSM finally admits that's the guy?

so in typical propagation of such stories (katie hill, ilhan omar, etc), its echoing through the right-wing blogosphere and partisan sites that are well out of the mainstream, but have wide enough reach that the information spreads into social media like wildfire. It will be interesting to see how long CNN/NBC/ABC/PBS/Fox/etc try to suppress the story

“He was fired from the National Security Council in 2017 for leaks, and returned to the CIA.”

lmao that writes itself doesn’t it

Fired?
Politico says otherwise:

Quote
...The people targeted included a State Department civil servant of Iranian descent who’d joined government under the George W. Bush administration; a highly respected Foreign Service officer who dealt with Israeli issues; and an NSC staffer who dealt with European and Russian issues. The latter, Eric Ciaramella, reportedly left the NSC after receiving death threats.

probably because they assumed that openly admitting to quid pro quo would be enough, but they underestimated the level of corruption and crooked behaviour republicans would be willing to put up with...

Why is impeachment taking so long? If the House doesn't have a rock solid case the Senate will acquit Trump without blinking an eye. If the House had a solid case we would be at the trial stage by now.
You can't rely on circumstantial evidence or subjective interpretation of the Constitution to build a solid case against a POTUS. You need unquestionable hard proof. Because the Senate acting as Judge and Jury in the trial can play the same semantic and subjective interpretation game to cast reasonable doubt.

So why is the House really pursuing impeachment? Is this supposed to help win in 2020?

I'd love to see a real impeachment but so far I haven't seen any damning evidence. Just opinions.

Investigations take time. Especially when you want to build a rock solid case

so the president asking foreign nations to investigate his political opponent on national tv is not damning evidence? you know that's illegal, right?
