Steyer, a billionaire, wearing literally a blue collar'd shirt and a plaid tie, to signal is connection to the working class.

Warren, an avowed enemy to the elite, wearing a purple (color of royalty) pant suit, to signal a connection to the artist formerly known as prince and Oprah in 1995.

Hillary Clinton, in an interview published today:

Quote (Hillary)
Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him

...this coming from the candidate who was so unlikeable, she lost to the least liked president in modern American history.

what the democratic message started out as, and should have been all along: anyone is better than trump

A better message than ridiculous infighting over "unwoke moments" from 30 years ago, sure. But still not a good overall strategy imho.

This rationale is the same as that of Hillary's negative 2016 campaign: "They hate me, I have no redeeming personal qualities, and my platform is bland as fuck. So all I'm gonna do from now on is talk24/7 about how bad orange man is, how much more experienced and qualified and upright I am". It failed spectacularly.

Democrats need candidates who can inspire their voters and give them something (policy or personality-wise) to vote for, just giving them something to vote against isnt cutting it.
The big problem they're faced with is that they have no candidate at the moment who can do that without alienating the white working-class Obama-Trump voters in the Midwest.

Why does HRC care about what she says towards Bernie?

If Comrade Barnie steps out of line, HRC will get all his lucrative book deals cancelled and get the banks to foreclose on his multiple vacation homes.

Then she'll suicide him.

HRC is a terrible human, but she's not wrong. Comrade Barnie is 100% a career politician with nothing to show for his decades of "work".

the most notable thing Bernie has ever done is get arrested 50 years ago protesting for civil rights. it gets reposted like daily to /r/politics. i think bernies subreddit has a kill on sight order for that post from the mods it gets posted so often. other than that he's a career dreamer.

the most notable thing Bernie has ever done is pull the Democratic party sharply to the left in the wake of his surprisingly popular 2016 campaign.

Was that before or after his honeymoon to Mother Russia?

His popularity baffles me. I don't get the appeal other than weak minded people thinking he'll "make things fair" and will "level the playing field"

Those evil terrible Billionaires that screw us regular folk daily for funzies.
