Shutdown in a nutshell

I dont follow any of this shit can someone sum this up

Obama created DACA by going around congress and saying we just wouldn't enforce the law on the books
Trump ended DACA by simply reversing Obama's decision
A judge said Trump isn't allowed to end DACA because reasons, leaving it in limbo
Now democrats want DACA renewed, and won't vote for immigration reform / border wall without it
Republicans want immigration reform / border wall, and won't vote for DACA without them.
They failed to hammer out a compromise in the middle in time for this budget showdown
Republicans pushed forward a bill that would kick the can down the road a month and give time for more negotiations
Democrats voted against it, causing the government to shut down, holding the government hostage until they get their DACA fix

So we're now at an impasse where democrats won't allow the government to re-open unless they get DACA, but republicans aren't going to hand it to them.
