Education increases liberal attitudes. If more people got an education, less people would vote Republican. They have to make sure to protect their bottom line by keeping as many people ignorant as possible.

there is something political going on though, being reflected on campuses.
A total empowerment of freedom of speech, it is cool to be hateful, even got a president elected. The actual game being played is getting fierce reactions to establish a brand to be important. -> the media talking about it. What is a better target to establish your freedom of speech argument in an environment that chooses its speech based on relevance of scientific importance. It's an instant political hit, especially because you can statistically label them as liberals.
I'd personally not let political speakers preach based on the insignificant scientific content of the debate they are presenting. Milo for instance is part of a quarter of the ban on political speakers in the US, he has become a rockstar, based on it being cool to spread hated comment within the law. I'll call this the Trump effect. Yet his argument is simply insignificant for studies ppl are taking part in. His role on being banned is purely political to establish his rockstar free speech identity.
