for ryzen, they benefit greatly. But ofc, u won't notice the difference with ur naked eyes if that's what you mean. If you're not trying to push for 144+fps u can save moeny and just get a 2400 imo.

tested it on my 1700 myself too, mine at 3000mhz gives more FPS vs 2400

if the fps borderlines / fluxuates from 130-150fps and then goes up to 160+ with faster ram, yes it will be noticeable to the eyes [a lot more smoother] (and worth it to get faster memory)

assuming 144hz monitor

you know many people cant tell the difference between 100hz 120hz and 144hz

wrong

if you using a 144hz monitor and your game dips below 144 fps, even 100fps you can tell the difference.

Bought ram finally, at least as a placeholder until/if something better pops up on Black Friday.

3000mhz 15cas Ripjaws for $123 USD. Prices are fucked so I decided it'd be too risky to pass this up right now.

Unfortunately, from what I'm reading, this specific ram doesn't work well with my AB350 gaming 3 (reports of people not being able to get more than 2133mhz stable), but I'm hoping that's not the case anymore with all the BIOS updates.

Just the GPU remains.

Third person I've seen so far on jsp that's ordered these in the last few hours, me included.

It'll work, just update bios to latest version.

I did it boys, pulled the trigger on the EVGA 1070 FTW 3.0 ACX that went on sale today. It was my final piece, I can build it next week. Let's just hope nothing is DOA and I don't static everything to death.

Thanks to everyone for the great help, I appreciate it. Knew absolutely nothing about PC parts before making this thread.

Here she is: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rkjYM8

Final cost in Canadian Dollars: $1,365 (about $1,090 USD). Saved about $550 CAD scouring the internet for sales. This includes a new mouse, mousepad, keyboard and headset.
