Well I called Gigabyte and their customer service guy said it's not possible for the Motherboard not to boot, and that the default BIOS on my board should be compatible with my CPU. So if he's right, that means the problem that I thought existed, doesn't exist.
That means either the mobo or some other competent is dead. Tomorrow I'm going to buy a motherboard just to test out all my other part and then return it the next day lol. In the meantime, I've started the RMA process with Gigabyte.
What a headache. What started out as a fun project has just turned into a giant annoying waste of time. All the time spent finding sales, doing the rebates, driving across the border to pick up the packages lol. If I knew back in August what I know now, I would have just bought a prebuilt or something. Not at all worth the savings.
I almost feeling like biting the bullet and just buying a new motherboard and throwing this one in the trash instead of waiting a month for Gigabyte to send me back a (hopefully) working board.
Funny thing is, my friend built his own PC too, using almost all the same components I did (some of them were bought together, as well). His PC works perfectly fine lol. I hate him
