- An open feedback culture is encouraged but you cannot give negative feedback to certain people or you will be shown the door. They will ignore the fact that the negative feedback you give is actually constructive and intending to improve the company, but you will be painted as a negative person yourself. It's a very simple, easy defense tactic from higher-ups, and it's employed frequently. Fragile egos, again. Witch hunts are common. Prepare to be called "difficult to work with" if you give constructive feedback to the wrong people.
pls don't do what montecristo did and forever get banned/fired from working at rito again by being TOO open
let's not forget - it's a top organization, and it's an american company - they care about their egos and it can get hurt pretty easily
also, it's coming from a society where tips is expected at restaurants/bars where waitresses cry about not getting free money or not enough of it (tips are not expected in asian countries)
the only way to succeed at these big companies is to: look good (this is absolutely #1 and i'm not trolling here),
be friends with the right people (#2),
and do work that is at least acceptable (doesn't have to be amazing work - this is last priority)
these "hot shit" companies only really care about looking good tbh (from personal experience)
