I was a hardcore old school player back in the days where i got a free beta key and its undenialable that there has been a design shift over the span of time.

The current game has like 6 ? guys ( guardians uber atziri shaper) that require u to actually look away from ur TV and pay attention to ur character instead. Back in the days everything could have killed u if u take ur eyes of the screens for once. Reflect/ thornflesh/ balanced invasion bosses/ blue devourer packs or leapers or rhoas or etc etc, so every thing could have killed u . Together with the not so inflated damage it forced u into a slower playstyle which i enjoy more. U know, the feeling that there can be danger around every corner. Getting to 90+ was a MAJOR archiement. Lvl 100 in HC and ppl will call u a god. And now? If i made a bot that can guide my char from start to end point of the map i can bind my keyboard to spam movement skill X without stopping and mainskill Y. Pretty sure its the most efficient way of playing the game now and i am 100% sure my chararacter wont die in red maps if played by a bot with flawless pathing.

Not trying to say the current end game bosses have a lot of interesting mechanics, because they do. They just feel bland because i can trivialize them with the right build. Fighting shrine piety at 1.X was demanding more concentration from me than the current guardians. And when i killed shaper on HC the first time in atlas of world, i watched 1-2 vids. Walked in with my ED char and ate like 2 slams and 3 beams in the face, survived it all and killed him with 4 tps left. Sure as hell doesnt feel the same as when i downed NORMAL ( !!!) Atziri on in 2.0 with 0 tps left after like 2 chars died to her in the same run. Over 1 month was alrdy into the league so I didnt rly expect to get the top 50 MTX reward but i even got those. Will probably remain the highest accomplishment i ever have in poe and was feeling high for the whole weekend.

I am realitic. I prefer the old Poe but i know those old times aint coming back. I know ppl like me are in the minority and GGG would make more money by making the game more accessable to the mass. I wont complain. I simply have stopped being a hardcore player after bloodlines. Instead of no lifing until the end of the league I am now a casual HC player who only plays for 1-2 weeks until i got max MTX challnges done. I get away with it cause I usually went deathless per league now compared to the mountains of deaths i had in the old times.

I still think POE is the best arpg currently but i have stopped buying supoort packs after the switch to a being a casual.

I hit 97 and started a new character had to give my eyes and brain something g other then strands for hours on hours don't get me wrong am not complaining just blah 97+

I didn't do all strands because of that. It's kinda aids.

I did like 100+ t16 back to back and chayulas etc.
Actually leveled a boss killer after hitting 98 from 1-94 just for guardians lol.

The game is getting fully rebalanced in 3.0 when they add the next act, and remove cruel. Which is only a few months away from now be patient my friends.
