This right here is ignorance at its finest.

How the hell is it ignorant?

You play longer ie work more hours you should get paid more.

It's really not hard to understand.

The number of hours spent working is not a reference for how hard you worked. Especially not in competitive sports, where you push yourself to the limit and your only goal is to be better than your opponent.

do women push themselves harder then men, or something? If both genders are pushing themselves to their limit and one does it for a longer period of time...draw your own conclusions here

Tennis is pretty much more elegant and classy than any other sport listed here, so yes it's interesting to watch women playing it too And they are well paid too.

Feminism is again for rich white women.

Congratulations professional tennis players.

In a way, yes. In any sports where stamina plays a role (which is the case in tennis), you'll push yourself harder if a game is shorter. In the end, however, it doesn't make a difference. Sports aren't about who works hardest; they're about who wins. A tennis player with superior technique will probably win quite some games where he/she worked significantly less than his/her opponent.

You can compare this to cycling, by the way. A 190 km mountains stage in the Tour de France is quite usual. The first 150-ish km are raced patiently without too many attacks, and most GC contenders wait until the last 1 or 2 cols to attack, while most non-climbers have a relatively calm day. A 100 km mountains stage is a nightmare for everyone; often there's attacks by prominent riders right from the start, and people who aren't good climbers typically struggle terribly to try and arrive within the time limit.

Id argue men have to work harder than women in any given match because of the way they play tennis. The men have to chase down drop shots and lobs much more than women and because the balls are hit harder they have to move a bit faster as well.

I'm not saying it's ideal, but women's tennis is really nothing like men's tennis.

So are thet going to use subsidy from the mens events surplus income to pay the women more ?

I assume the reason werent paid as much as their events income was significantly less.....

I could be wrong i dont know much about tennis....sounds wrong and against the ideas of fairness though

I do wonder... if "how hard you work" matters, why do soccer players earn so much compared to marathon runners, triathletes and cyclists?
