Would love to see that Cop in an actual MMA fight vs an opponent without his hands tied behind his back, very drunk (so no co-ordination) and not being half his size. I definately buy a ticket to watch his face get punched in. That would be actual justice in this case.

That's like saying that the cook who serves a burger under shouldnt just get fired or punished but should have to eat a raw burger as punishment...

Simply firing somebody is not enough punishment in some cases. It esentially only allows them to continue their brain-masterbation.
Also the proceeds of the fight could go to the victim's family and might prevent an actual lawsuit.
