i've no idea what that ratio signifies but doing well in economics courses aren't exactly something to brag about... they're considered bird courses for a good reason

A 2.1 is like a B. It's 1 grade lower than a First which is the highest grade. Just high enough to seem better than average (although the average is probably a 2.1 or 2.2 anyway) but not so high as to be unbelievable.

He'd have had to have done an undergrad as well... unless he started at like 14 yrs old. So it's a pass plus undergrad degree in economics basically.

e/ and maths is part of the undergrad economics course... why he would have taken it separately I have no fucking idea.
