I saw this anime when I was young and I'm trying to figure out what it was. I saw it while I was on vacation at the beach on either cable or satellite but couldn't possibly name or remember the channel.

I remember very little, but here are the clues.
It aired in the summer of 95-97 in the morning on a weekend
It was English dubbed
Want to say the environment was post apocalyptic, or some sort of ruined city - at least towards the end
It was action with a female protagonist
At the end when the female protagonist triumphs, there is a crew of friends that arrives including an old man In a CAR and they drive off. I want to say a red classic convertible but it could be another color.
Someone floats in on an umbrella towards the end as well.

IS there an expert that would have any idea what I'm talking about, or did I dream this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It fits quite well - its a female protagonist, post apocalyptic world, aired 97-99 and in the end they drive off in a car.
However its an ecchi anime with lots of upskirt and downblouse shots so it might not have aired in the morning

Yeah, it was none of those I def woulda remembered t&a, and a bunch of guns. Despite there being a car and post apocalyptic, I don't recall it being very urban or futurey. Was either swords or magic or both... The car had to be at least a 4 seater and def a convertible.
